Privacy Policy
It's just me in the garage, so this is short. Here's what I collect when you book, what I do with it, and what I don't.
In effect from October 19, 2026
What I collect
When you book a drop-off I ask for your name, your mobile number, your email (unless you choose texts instead), what you're bringing in, any notes you add, your drop-off time, and how you'd like to pay. If you add merch, I keep what you picked. If you book a custom job, I keep what you told me about the gear.
I don't take card details on this site. If you pay through Venmo, that happens on Venmo under Venmo's own privacy policy; I only see that a payment arrived.
What I use it for
- Running your booking: holding your spot, knowing what to tune, and telling you when it's ready.
- Reaching you about that booking, the way you chose: email, or text.
- Keeping a record of the work I've done, so I know what your gear had last time.
That's it. I don't send marketing, and I don't build profiles.
Texts
If you choose Text when you book and tick the box agreeing to texts, you're agreeing to get texts from me about that booking: a confirmation, and a note when your gear is ready for pickup. Expect one or two texts per booking, nothing more. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help; if you stop, I'll email you instead, or you can just call or text me. The full SMS Terms are in the Terms & Conditions.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your mobile number is used only for messages about your booking. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Texts may be sent through a texting service that delivers them on my behalf; the service handles the message and nothing else.
If you give an email, I use it for your confirmation and your ready-for-pickup note, and to answer you if you reply. Emails are sent through an email delivery service on my behalf.
Who else sees it
Nobody, apart from the services that run the site: the company that hosts it, the email delivery service, and (once texting is on) the texting service. Each one only handles what it has to in order to do its job. I don't sell your information and I don't share it with anyone for marketing.
How long I keep it
Bookings stay in my records so I can see what your gear had done before and keep my own books straight. If you'd like your details removed, email me and I'll take care of it.
Cookies and the site itself
The public site sets no cookies and runs no tracking or analytics. The only cookie on this domain is the one that keeps me signed in to my own booking board. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which is the only third-party request the page makes.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over HTTPS, your details live on a server with nightly backups, and only I can sign in to the board.
Kids
The site isn't aimed at anyone under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information. Have a parent book for you.
Changes
If this changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
